Acceptable use
This policy explains what may be shared and done on qrhub, and what happens when it is not.
1. Scope
This policy applies to every QR code, short link and landing page you create with qrhub, and to everything you upload to the asset library. Using the Service means accepting this policy; together with the Terms of Service it forms the basis on which you may use it.
Accounts and short links that break this policy may be disabled, suspended or terminated; section 5 describes what follows.
2. What you must do
Publish only content and brand marks you own or are licensed to use. Get permission first for third-party trademarks, likenesses, works and customer lists.
Make the outcome clear: labels should say what a scan does (open the menu, join the WiFi, leave a review) and not imply a destination the code does not reach.
Stay responsible for dynamic destinations. A dynamic code can be repointed at any time; you remain the party answerable for where it points.
Test before you print. Scan with at least two phones and check that the destination opens, the content is what you expect, and the page works on a small screen.
3. Prohibited behaviour
No codes or short links pointing at: phishing or scams, malware, ransomware or miner scripts, gambling, adult or otherwise unlawful content, controlled goods, spam or forced sharing.
No impersonation: forged sign-in pages, fake support agents, or pages that dress up as a payment or banking interface to collect credentials.
No circumvention: bypassing human verification, bulk registration, evading quotas and rate limits, or probing and attacking the Service or other users’ data.
No infringement: collecting personal data without a lawful basis, tracking scanners, or publishing content that infringes intellectual property.
No disruption: hammering the render and resolve endpoints automatically, or sending oversized payloads to exhaust resources.
4. Reports and response
Anyone who comes across a suspicious short link can report it through the Report abuse page: give the short link, the report type and any detail you have. No account is needed.
We triage reports by risk, disable confirmed offending short links and replace the landing page with a notice, and suspend accounts in severe or repeat cases. The decision and its basis are recorded in the audit trail.
The affected party can appeal through the contact page. We review the original report together with the enforcement record, and restore the link and account where the appeal succeeds.
5. Enforcement
Depending on severity we may ask for a fix, disable a single short link, limit parts of an account, or suspend or terminate the account.
Reports involving personal safety, payment fraud or unlawful content are handled first and may lead to immediate disabling without prior notice.
Nothing in this policy limits other steps we may take under the law or the Terms of Service.
6. Changes
This policy is updated as capabilities and compliance requirements change. Material changes to what is prohibited are announced before they take effect, in the app or by email.
Continuing to use the Service means accepting the updated policy; if you do not accept it, you can stop using the Service and close your account.
