A static QR code encodes its content directly into the pattern: scanning it yields the result without going through our servers, and the content cannot be changed once created. A dynamic QR code encodes only a qrhub short link — our service resolves the scan, decides the destination or renders a landing page, and therefore lets you change the destination, count scans and replace landing page content at any time.

No. The pattern encodes the short link rather than the final address, so the same printed code points to the new content — that is the core value of dynamic codes.

No. A static QR code does not depend on our service: as long as the pattern stays legible, it keeps resolving.

Static codes are unaffected — they do not go through our servers. Scanning a dynamic code requires the short link to be resolved first, so it does depend on service availability. For critical use, consider a static code as well.

Yes. Background color, dot color (including two-color gradients), inner and outer eye colors, 19 dot shapes, 8 outer eye shapes, 20 frame styles (with frame text and fonts), and uploading or choosing a logo. Every selectable combination passes a scannability check.

PNG, SVG, JPG and PDF. Use a raster format for on-screen use; for print, prefer SVG or PDF — vector artwork scales without losing quality.

Appearance must not come at the cost of scannability. The available set is narrowed by measured scannability (the inner eye, for example, is a solid 3×3 block, and reshaping it would break the position pattern), so some shapes are offered only at the dot level.

Total scans and deduplicated unique scans, a daily trend, and breakdowns by operating system, country, city and individual code, with shares for each dimension. Every dimension can be exported as CSV.

Raw IP addresses are not stored. On each scan the IP is converted immediately into a keyed hash before it is written to the database, and it is used only to count "the same source on the same day" once. Detail records are kept for 90 days by default; aggregates are kept long term. See the privacy policy for details.

Geography comes from resolving a GeoIP database or a CDN request header. When no resolution source is configured, or the header is missing, that scan is counted as "unknown" — the other dimensions are unaffected.

No. A static code does not go through our servers, so scans cannot be recorded. Use a dynamic code when you need data.

Yes. A newly registered account gets one 7-day free trial automatically, during which dynamic codes and scan analytics are available.

The default limit is 5 dynamic codes in the free and trial states. That number is configured by our team in the admin console and may change. Static codes do not count against it and are not restricted by subscription state.

No online payment gateway is connected yet — subscriptions are activated manually by our team: submit an activation request and we will contact you to confirm. There is no automatic charging.

No. After cancellation the subscription simply stops renewing, and paid capabilities fall back once the remaining term ends. Codes you have already created are kept and can still have their content and destination edited.
